Need help with pics of steering wheel and airbag

Thanks Dave. I should have mentioned that I have access to ETKA (although you seem to have a newer revision). The problem with ETKA is that it doesn't really show if the 4 airbag units for 06 steering wheels are interchangeable. Or at least I can't see this. It's possible that the changes...

Need help with pics of steering wheel and airbag

Ok, took some pictures of the old and new if that would make comparing a bit easier: Old one on the left, new one on the right. As can be seen, the new one has the mounting points slightly elevated from the bottom, unlike the old one. Anyone out there able to lend a hand? Pretty please? :)

Need help with pics of steering wheel and airbag

This may be a bit of an unusual request, but I'd need help with pictures of A3 steering wheels with the airbag removed, and also of the rear side of the airbag itself. These would need to be from the basic steering wheels without any multi-function buttons or DSG paddles. The reason I am...

Advice needed on remapping an A3 2.0T Quattro

Power-wise it propably could, but the gear-ratios won't allow for it. I have the APR remap myself, together with Milltek full exhaust. With this setup, I was able to get to ~155mph on the German Autobahns. At this point the car was pulling nearly 6500rpm on 6th gear. As the power...

In-car videos from this season's track days

The camera was mounted like so. The arm in the picture is actually not mine, it was borrowed, and I bought my own later on. The clamp is Manfrotto SuperClamp, I highly recommend one

In-car videos from this season's track days

Been awhile since I last posted here, but what the heck, time to fix that  Had a boring Sunday yesterday as I had to find something to do to pass the time while the autums first storms were passing by. This meant that I finally had time to go through some of the in-car footage I've taken...

    First trackday of the season

That's Ahvenisto racetrack, located some 100km outside of Helsinki. I doubt that many of you are familiar with the place I've added more pictures from the trackday into my gallery ( http://moogie.idle.fi/audi/ ).

    First trackday of the season

As summer has finally arrived to the northern parts of the world too, yesterday it was finally time to kick-off the tracking season! Beatiful weather combined with some of the modifications done to the car during the winter made this a very fun day! Here's a teaser pic, more in a few days.

Retrofit Cup Holder with Symphony II (S-line)

The trim comes out by just carefully pulling it. Have you found a double-din version of the cup holder somewhere? Afaik, the single-din version won't fit, and a double-din version doesn't exist.

    Cruise Control retrofit

One addition to the above thread. If you need to buy a new electronics unit, make sure that you buy one that is compatible with your steering wheel slip ring. I spent quite a few hours trying to figure out why my new module didn't work properly, until it was found that it wasn't compatible.. As...

    Roof Spoiler

I've been looking at the S-line spoiler I have, and it looks like the standard brakelight won't fit into it. Does anyone have the partnumber for the S-line brakelight? Could any S-line owner be kind and take a look at theirs? Thanks!

    Foglight connectors (S-line versus standard)

Hi, I just finished replacing my bumpers with the S-line models, and naturally had to change to front fogs at the same time. For some reason Audi has chosen to use a different connector on the standard fogs and the S-line fogs, so I couldn't connect them straight away. If anyone has any idea...

    Rear spoiler

Just took a pic of what the S-line spoiler's bottomside looks like. Link here. Any ideas?

    Rear spoiler

Hi! Anyone know howto replace the original roof spoiler with a S-line model? I've managed to source one S-line spoiler, but can't seem to figure out how it should be mounted. From what I can see by looking at the current spoiler, it seems to be a fixed part of the boot lid - I atleast...

    Brakes on a 2,0t FSi

Front is 312x25mm ventilated, and rear is 286x12mm. Let us know if you find suitable pads. I tried a while ago from Pagid and Ferodo, and neither had anything ready for these brakes. Both did reply that they were coming out with pads "in the near future", what ever that means.. Here's links...

Creaky steering - PtII, after a new steering rack

Anyone have any updates to this? I just spotted this thread at the MkIV forums, which looks quite promising. If there indeed is a new steering rack for the MkV golf, one could assume that there is one for the A3 too! [ QUOTE ] This is a new part that was just released about two weeks ago, so...

    Cruise control retrofit problems

Just got back home from retrofitting the cruise control stalk and a new electronics unit. While the mechanical part of the installation went just fine, I ran into a couple (most likely) coding related issues. First of all, I now have a couple of error codes (unclearable) present. These are...

DSG problems on a rolling road

The kickdown switch is not electronically connected to anything. Afaik it's only purpose is to provide feedback to the driver, so that you can feel the point after which the kickdown will happen.
