Can you please try the test-file mentioned here:? #231

    B&O crackling noises

That's very interesting to know. The conversion from 44.1 to 48 kHz alone doesn't produce any crackle, only if the conversion is done in a wrong way or if the converter has some software bugs.

Did you try the test-files? Or just regular music? Because it is not audible in every song.

    B&O crackling noises

Any news on this topic? I also have this noise and I don't know what to do. Don't want Audi to exchange any parts if I already know it won't solve the problem.

How I Installed My Blackvue DR550GW-2CH

That really sucks. You spent a lot of time to help this community by making all these pictures and this is your reward? You get ignored? Maybe you can put the pictures into a dropbox and post the link here or something like that. So we can at least see them.

Some images don't work, can you fix that? Would be great!

    S3 dirty inner pipes?!

That is true, but it was YOU who brought up the ice that we have been discussing since 12 posts :) You have any evidence, that it actually brings any driving advantage? Like better handling? Or better times on a race track?

    S3 dirty inner pipes?!

Ok, so if you want to be very precise, it is not zero, that's true because there is always some friction. So the torque can not go 100% to the rear axle, maybe only 99.5% to the rear axle and 0.5% to the front axle to compensate for the omni-present friction. But for all practical purposes...

    S3 dirty inner pipes?!

You only need a torque to keep a wheel spinning if you have to compensate for friction or if you want to change the speed of the wheel. When there is no force that acts on the wheel, it will just keep spinning freely forever. (But I'm sure you know that, right? The is THE basic foundation of...

    S3 dirty inner pipes?!

Did you even watch the video that you linked? If you didn't, please do. If you did, please watch again. It is very well explained there. The engaged halex acts like a locked differential in which the speed on both exits is the same, but the torqe depends on the underground. Yes I do, because...

    S3 dirty inner pipes?!

No, only the speed will be indentical, not the torque.

    S3 dirty inner pipes?!

At least that is what every physicist and engineer agrees on. (I'm a physicist btw.) You are mistaken with these two statements. If the car is on ice, the torque of the engine will decrease. This is obvious because suddenly the engines speed increases, because suddenly the load is missing. On...

    S3 dirty inner pipes?!

So by drive you mean rotational speed? Ok, I'm with you on hat. I read the other thread. Basically he says "Haldex refer to "Torque" in marketing terms as "applied torque against a surface", rather than the more generic definition of Torque." However, he fails to explain, how it differs from...

    S3 dirty inner pipes?!

What is the physical meaning of "drive"? You should not use this word, as it is not clear what it means. The clear words are "torque", "power", "speed", "force", etc. If the Haldex is open, there is no torque delivered to the rear wheels. If the Haldex in engaged, the speed of the front and...

    Quattro operating modes

That is correct, although a lot of people don't understand it. If the front wheels can not transfer any power to the street, then they will either spin freely or all of the power will get transferred to the back. Otherwise the power of your engine would get lost somewhere, which is not possible...

Best lacquer protection for winter etc ?

That is not entirely true, the surfaces which have a lacquer coating are very resistant to salt. But the metal surfaces without any lacquer will corrode much faster. However, it still makes sense to use some wax or sealant in the winter to make cleaning the car easier.

    Speedometer Accuracy compared against GPS

I also thought so at first, but it seems that only the display of the speed is overstated, the speed that is used for internal calculations is the correct one. You can try that out very easily: Drive at constant 55 mph, then reset your average speed reading. After a few seconds it will show your...
