    Yeah i'd say it's the same. I thought maybe if the door panel was removed the lock could just screw out and a new one put in but using the same barrel so you dont need to change the key??

    First start of the day puff of grey smoke

    My first cold start up of the day is with a fairly big puff of grey looking smoke. Its also not the quickest to fire up, i turn the key three times before starting for the glow plugs to heat up properly. Any ideas whats causing this? CTS? cheers

    Passenger one is the same, thankfully got my fob communicating with the car again but if it ever dies ill be in trouble. Can you just change the door latch inside the door to fix this issue? My interior light wont come on with drivers door either so guessing its all in this latch set up? cheers

    Power stering 'kicks back' low speeds or stationary

    It's not the fluid anyway its dead on the max mark. Any ideas how i can check the belt etc or is it a job for the mechanic? cheers

    Yeah ive tapped the stslk button, held it and played about. Surely you aren't able to turn the fuel gauge off and it would override it being off?

    Cheers for all your help aragorn, but excuse my stupidity over the cooling system. But if the coolant was at 90 and the needle says 90 but the ecu says 80 would that not be the sensor giving off the wrong info? Thanks again

I got into the on board diagnostics in the climate control and went to no49 for temperature and interestingly when the gauge reached 90 the onboard said 79 and didnt go over 80c.     just doesn't seem right to me, but maybe that's just the nature of the beast. Pretty sure they wouldn't have done that from the factory, so something must have changed.

    And have you changed the stat at all to see if that was the cuase or have you just let it be? I just feel on my commute each day which is 17 miles each way , if the car doesn't get up to temperature im just using excess fuel which defeats my purpose of having a diesel.

    Thats what i thought. Even though its in the closed position when its cold it can still be goosed? and still should heat up considering how cold it is outside? Cheers for your help, saves me a bit of messing about putting the wrong parts in.

    Is it worth removing cluster then and looking for a wiring issue behind it? What sort of places repair this type of thing, not a normal autospark is it? cheers
