I'm not convinced that it the TC is to blame, i think that there is a sensor problem somewhere which is telling the traction control to kick in but i was told that if i disconnect the main PAS loom and it does it again, i can rule out the abs sensors. Im hopefully getting it scanned tomorrow so...

Mine is a saloon and i have the electric button release. Boot pops fine with the key in the lock and the fob button so it seems the latch is working fine. Had it apart again and can see any evidence of water and everything looks fine.. its just like the handle isnt actuating the latch to open...

I've just finished doing mine. It was really dirty, but what I noticed was that the 3rd inlet from the left had no gasket. .. did yours? Made one anyway.. put it all back together and dropped an Allen key in the engine. Took me ages to fish it out. To blank you just need the plate yeh?

Will you fill me in on the Mr Muscle turbo clean?

ok cheers mate! So its as simple as unbolt and clean yeh? ive also read on here that to take it off and clean, you haveto replace the gasket... did you haveto?

its a 2.5 q mate. il probs be able to see it but may aswell get clued up before i start.

how much was it mate? Are you deleting from the map?

What was the problem? Mine will open only with the key fob... the parts in the boot lid look new.
