    Oh I see! It's the boost pressure drop fault code that's got me! Although it may be a software issue throwing that code along with the misfire codes. Or an historic code

    I've had a similar problem before with an A4 with exact same fault codes, I think you will find the issue is with the breather system, the PCV valve beneath the inlet manifold. Basically a boost leak into the crank case. Also causes misfire fault codes but doesn't seem to physically misfire...

    I would imagine it's losing its crank signal when warm in that case, although thinking about it they usually cut out when warm and won't restart. I don't know from experience on these how critical the cam signal is. On a petrol Ford (my background) it will take longer to start as it guesses...

    If it's immobilised, it will start and cut out. So you could probably rule that out. Can you get a scan tool on it and get some fault codes? It sounds as though it won't start when it's hot by your description?

    You will most likely need a oil pick up pipe and some gasket sealer for the sump (don't use any old sealer) I also replaced the oil pump while I was in there which I would strongly recommend

    Get and measure the oil pressure or just rip the sump off. Same thing happened to my car, I used genuine parts on my AGU just for peace of mind. If you keep driving it, it will die.

    I've recently fitted the entire front suspension, brakes and wheels from a Cupra R to my 98 1.8T, so I mean steering rack, subframe, poly bushed arms, hubs and brembo brakes, poly bushed lower gearbox mount and a new set of AP coil overs.     How you got the cat/front pipe out without disconnecting prop is a mystery! I had to disconnect prop and gearbox steady and was still tight coming out!

    oxygen sensor fault code

    It will be P0135, it's set due to the ECU seeing either no feedback from the sensor, either due to it being open circuit within the heating element or a specific wiring fault to that sensor.
