Been having some issues during mapping lately with my ME3.8 AGU, had two sessions now and in both cases the car seems to be missing when the boost is wound up. Cars fine when dyno is unloaded buy once loaded it starts to miss! Car drives fine stock but i think im starting to notice it get abit...

Im also getting ready to do this conversion, so far ive got the gearbox, shafts and shifter/cables. Just need to sort a clutch/flywheel

Oh I see! It's the boost pressure drop fault code that's got me! Although it may be a software issue throwing that code along with the misfire codes. Or an historic code

I've had a similar problem before with an A4 with exact same fault codes, I think you will find the issue is with the breather system, the PCV valve beneath the inlet manifold. Basically a boost leak into the crank case. Also causes misfire fault codes but doesn't seem to physically misfire...

I've got LCRs and I love them to bits! Braking performance is awesome for standard fitment brakes I.E non aftermarket In need of some pads soon though, do you stock the DS2500 pads Bill?

I would imagine it's losing its crank signal when warm in that case, although thinking about it they usually cut out when warm and won't restart. I don't know from experience on these how critical the cam signal is. On a petrol Ford (my background) it will take longer to start as it guesses...

Ok thanks, had a good look at his website. I may be able to lift the front end slightly for the collars to clear, I don't want it decked anyhow!

If it's immobilised, it will start and cut out. So you could probably rule that out. Can you get a scan tool on it and get some fault codes? It sounds as though it won't start when it's hot by your description?

You will most likely need a oil pick up pipe and some gasket sealer for the sump (don't use any old sealer) I also replaced the oil pump while I was in there which I would strongly recommend

Get and measure the oil pressure or just rip the sump off. Same thing happened to my car, I used genuine parts on my AGU just for peace of mind. If you keep driving it, it will die.

I've recently fitted the entire front suspension, brakes and wheels from a Cupra R to my 98 1.8T, so I mean steering rack, subframe, poly bushed arms, hubs and brembo brakes, poly bushed lower gearbox mount and a new set of AP coil overs. What a difference! It's been aligned. I've now noticed...

Boost/air leak?

Definately oil pressure check it with a physical gauge, my dash is up the creek and has a fit about whatever and whenever it likes! Last week it kept moaning i had no brake fluid..

Anyone know an ETA of when they are next available? I got some Evo 9 recaros which are pretty nice but aren't fixed back. Not sure how I'm going to mount them yet.

How you got the cat/front pipe out without disconnecting prop is a mystery! I had to disconnect prop and gearbox steady and was still tight coming out!

Got it fitted, bit of a ball ache but worth it in the end. Wouldn't like to fit on the floor! Car drives so much nicer.

Looking to fit down pipe today, it looks a complete nightmare! Any tips?

It will be P0135, it's set due to the ECU seeing either no feedback from the sensor, either due to it being open circuit within the heating element or a specific wiring fault to that sensor.
