Well I got an autoleads one but it doesn't seem to fit.... When I stick the plastic bits into the bits that are screwed onto the dashboard, there are big gaps (ie around 10mm) in between the plastic and the HU. It was a bit of a squeeze so I was considering that maybe the front of the HU...

I read in my manual tonight (while I was stuck in the snow!) that ABS can actually INCREASE the stopping distance where there is surface 'stuff' e.g. grit or snow. I'm not sure why this is but maybe it is something to do with the gravel/snow kind of wedging in front of the wheel when the wheels...

Also bear in mind that American Head Units don't have RDS, so you won't get station names when you have the radio on

Alright mate, I think you need to measure the voltage coming from the alternator when the engine is ON, as the battery is only really used for starting the engine, it is the alternator which supplies power for the car...... May be wrong though....
