Just want to point out about DIY servicing . .
The service has to be done by a VAT registered company to maintain your warranty, so servicing the car yourself on your driveway, even if you use genuine parts and oils is worthless if the car develops a fault.
I know this because i work for a...
Yeah, my end result it wanting a map from r-tech but wanted to get to the bottom of why it's down before I spent more money on it. I'm still contemplating going TTE420 with it before I get a map. Aslong as I find the fault or if it is just the Revo map and the cars ok I'll be happy to keep...
I'll wait until payday and get one of them on order, I know a guy with vagcom so I'll try doing some logs this week aswel and see what boost pressure and fuel pressure it's requesting and receiving
You get told so many different things my different people. I bought the Rev G because that's what some tuners told me is the best one for them. I'll look into getting one of the diverters from AMD. See if it makes a difference
Yeah, the fuel filter was changed when I had the stg2+ map but on around 20k ago. I've replaced the diverter valve already but haven't checked it recently so I'll have a look at that tonight.
Just need to find somebody with VCDS now so I can do some logs and see what's going on.
I've not logged anything as of yet it I might be worth me doing.
I understand about the power loss through the 4wd but if you forget about the focus, on the dyno my car is down on power compared to what it should be, around 30-40bhp down
The diverted I'm using is revision G I think, the part...
I've ran it on two, the first was ecotune in Buckley but not sure what dyno they have and the second was group b Motorsport in deeside and there using a dyno dynamics 4wd dyno but I have the haldex unplugged to dyno in FWD
Hi, I'm looking for some suggestions and ideas to why my S3 is underpowered.
It's currently stage 2+ revo with the following mods:
Revo intake
Runner flap delete
Apr HPFP
Turbo back non res milltek with decat
NGK7 iridium spark plugs
Sach organic clutch and solid flywheel
PCV blanked
I had...
There was one at bruntingthrope but only a 2wd dyno. It is accurate, it's the company my work uses to calibrate our dyno that do the show but not sure if there gonna be there this year
I've put ebc ultimax discs with yellow stuff pads on at the moment, see how they hold out when I do my next trackday, they've took a while to bed in but they feel good now braking heavily from high speeds
ive just put EBC ultimax discs and EBC yellow stuff pads on my s3.
They have took a long time to bed in but they have got alot better now!!
now im glad ive bought them and definatly worth the money.
i had to get them extremely hot (pouring smoke when i stopped) before they bedded in properly.
Yeah, every Sunday night this car gets hammered along straits and after 3 or 4 runs I've gotta go and drive round normally to cool the brakes! Don't get me wrong there good brakes when the work but they fade to early for my driving style
I'll get on the hunt for a set of TTRS discs now then, the standard s3 brakes don't cope well when they've been used hard 3 times in a row they just start to fade out which is why I want bigger discs and 4pots. Plus I got a few track days coming up and the s3 brakes won't cope with that!
