The manual states a few methods and this is one of them,I can't really see why it wouldn't suffice,other methods may be easier but the two man method should work.....not on this occasion though as per usual :(

Cheers for the replies I'll give bleeding the m/c a go and I'll try bleeding the front left caliper by cracking open the banjo bolt......it works a treat on the m/c on the motorbike so I'll try that.

I don't think the fluid dropped below the minimum as I've been topping it up as I went. I could see at least one bleed screw on the m/c and even that one looked like a right pain to get to,so if there's another one it must be even more awkward.

Does anyone know or can confirm whether leads from a 2002 A3 will fit a 99 AGN block? they look similar but I'm wanting to double check before purchasing. cheers

Yeah its the n/a 1.8 sport model with 123bhp. Well the plan was for the replacement engine to slot in place,but my mechanic phoned me today to tell me that the inlet seemed to be different on the replacement engine,so he's worried that the engine loom will need messed around with etc etc...
