Evening all,
Is anyone able to identify what this should be plugged into?
I’m finally putting my A3 back together again after a long absence and can’t for the life of me see where this plugged into (not assisted by the fact I didn’t take it apart!)
Any advice greatly appreciated!!
And the answer is....
Its had a full 3 quarter panel on it. Audi tech showed me the pnly place they could tell and it not something your average person would spot.
The reason it;s is rusting around the arch is where it is rolled and pinched and its split teh galvanising on the new panel.
No...
Right, next problem, just noticed rear arch is starting to rust on a 2007 3dr.
i know the bodywork is guaranteed for 12 years but how do I get it sorted/looked at? Just book it in or are there some other hoops I need to jump through?
Has anyone managed to get this kind of stuff sorted in the...
I had same problem after water pump change.
Took it straight back to Audi and was told that this is a common problem and they put a £13 cap on it along with a new min/max sticker higher up the tank lol. Now there is more coolant in there it no longer comes on.
It's a fairly common thing by the look of things. Check:
mounts
Timing slightly out
DMF on way out
injector loom
Still to determine if mine is timing following belt change or DMF.
Good man! As per the above you'll get a letter through in the next couple of weeks with a lower offer again. Haggle the w&t exclusion down to 45 days, make it 13 months instead of 12. Add airbag and emissions cover if not already on quote.
Also ask for 3 month delayed start. They basically...
Is that from experience with both companies?
what problems did you have?
I've heard WD are good as long as you actually read the policy booklet and maintain in accordance with Audi service book.
Shouldn't be any more because of your age mate, and I'm only 26.
Call and ask to speak to Chris Kirby, he is their "Audi specialist" haggle the price down as much as you can but don't accept. They'll call and write to you with a better offer, wait 2 weeks longer and you'll get another letter...
I'll be able to let you know at some point.
im with WD and wear and tear exclusion has just expired so will bd able to claim when the next thing goes wrong.
I'd try haggling as well. My car is same age 2.0 sport and its nearly half what you quoted above for franchised dealer cover 25k miles...
I once did the same thing. Albeit not in an Audi at that time.
Local interior trimmer just replaced that particular panel.
Was £80 all in iirc and looked factory, you would never have known it had been done.
Right,
Car is suffering the BKD lumpy idle syndrome.
So far established DMF on way out as has the odd chatter now and again, but not replaced it yet.
However, also had timing belt done at Audi a couple of months back and felt much lumpier when retuned. It went back to be checked out and was...
Same problem, only happens/noticeable when stationary.
Started on its own, but as time had progressed it's almost defininatey dual mass issues for me.
Just hope that when I do get it done in a few weeks (if it lasts) the wobbles goes as well!!
Water pump is an extra £80-£100. Worth haggling though, I got Doncaster Audi down to £420 incl. the pump and promptly wished I'd started at 350 it was that easy to get a deal!
Was worth the few quid extra for me, just for that stamp in the book.
I had mine done at Doncaster Audi a couple of months ago. Initially quoted fixed £479 for the belt and extra £80 for water pump.
A little bartering later, they took £420 all in. Always worth getting local quotes for comparison to start negotiating with them....
Tell me about it, was supposed to be my first proper car, not one I had to financially cripple myself with.
So far 2 tyres, 1 rear bearing and 2 tyres (potholes), and now DMF chatter on startup.
All in 4,500 miles and 2 months of ownership!!
