Run Vag-com on it, and let us know what codes come up, if any. It could be something as simple as a dirty MAF. Try unplugging it and running under the same conditions, and see if it still does it.

Other way round I think. If engine starts running lumpy when you remove the oil cap, usually a sign your PCV is knackered. Just changed mine today. £38 from Audi parts and 10 minute job. EDIT: There shouldn't be a strong vacuum when trying to remove the cap.
