I recently had exactly the same issue with my car, took it into my local independant audi garage and they diagnosed a split in the diaphram in the vacuum switch on the inlet manifold. So I would expect its a leak on a vacuum hose somewhere...
I dont think its expensive for the parts, around £17 I read on another thread somewhere. Its passing a wire through the bulkhead to the washer bottle that I would think is the fiddly bit.
I always carry a small bottle of washer fluid in the car anyway and my "sensor" is when I pull on the stalk...
I fitted mine and drove around for about 4 days without any problems, Ive read that some cars the ESP doesnt work until you code it, but not the case with mine!
This link has details of what different steering wheel modules support:-

You would need a midline or highline part to support mfsw & cruise.
Hi all,
So I have just retrofitted DIS and cruise control and all is working as it should, I just need to ground the wire to stop the washer bottle empty warning appearing.
I removed the blue plug from the intstrument cluster and there is already a wire in pin 1 as expected. So as I read it...
All sorted
It was the clutch switch that had failed so the cruise control wouldnt work, nothing to do withmy coding!
Interestingly Ross-tech said there is no need to re-code the ABS module when doing a cruise retrofit, yet every guide I have seen on the net says that you do!
Thanks again Nigel, great communication and speedy cable delivery.
Just one question (for now!) how do I register the cable with Ross-Tech, just send them an email?
Did you make any progress on this?
I have the same issue whilst trying to retrofit CC, I have coded the steering wheel and engine and calibrated the steering wheel sensor but cant get in to code the brakes because the Login - 11 box is greyed out under 03 - ABS Brakes.
Im going to email ross...
I have a Concert III (double DIN) headunit that doesnt show any details for a standard CD, but does with an mp3 CD which I tend to use at the moment, looking to fit something I can use with my phone/mp3 player though, and this looks like a good option!
Did either of you go for the bluetooth option?
A couple of decent looking OEM ones have gone up on ebay this morning, just search A4 armrest and you will find them.
Ive snapped one up already though...
Hi,
Ive recently bought a 2007 A4, also with concert stereo, and am looking to fit a parrot mki9200, I've found this lead that I think might do the job:
JustCarKits Audi Leads
Would be interested to hear if anyone could confirm if this will work?
