Damn im sure this worked when I done it last year

Just tried to reset my service light, a3 sportback 2009. Switched ignition on, pulled out stork on right until service shown, pulled it out again and it only reset the oil change counter and not the service counter. When you turn the ignition off and on again it still shows service due Any ideas?

I need new rear brake pads for my 1.9tdi sportback (2009) but online there seems to be 2 different sizes - height 52.9mm , length 87mm and height 56mm , length 105.5mm Any idea which ones i need? Why are there different sizes?

While washing the car yesterday i noticed a small stone chip on the front lip of the bonnet which has rust in it....was quite surprised for a 2009 car! Whats the best way to fix this? Should i just get a touch up pen and paint over it? Cheers

Finally afer weeks of looking for the right car i have bought my first A3 :) Its an Aruba Blue 1.9tdie sportback (sport trim). One owner from new, 59 plate with only 42,000 miles. Had it for £11.5k Will upload pics when i have chance to give it a wash

My uncle has an A3 2.0tdi (2005) which has an error 00470 to do with the comfort control module can anyone tell me where it is located?

I am sure this has been asked before but with regards to mpg is there much difference with these engines? Has anyone owned both? If so can you post your experiences cheers

He has bought a second hand module which has fixed the wipers and the horn but now when he puts the indicators on the main beam comes on and then after a few seconds the indicators each side will flash once in turn. seems strange do u think it may be faulty? or will it just need a reset

He has taken off what he thinks is the problem, he said its looks like an ECU which was under the steering wheel, is this the steering control module? If so how much are these and where can he get one?

Just had another chat with him he said basically nothing that is switched on with the stalk works so he is thinking it could be a relay?
