    yeh so far thats what we're thinking, we need to check for definite if it is getting fuel up to the filter or not yet, just wondered if anyone has had the same problem. thanks for your reply.

    Hi all, 07 plate a4 2.0tdi 170 quattro, Had problems in the past, cleaned EGR valve had new injectors etc. Cut out on the motorway tonight, engine turning over but no fuel even though theres half a tank in. Checked the filter and there was no fuel but not sure whether it was inlet or outlet...
