my A1 is the standard key, it just you can open the car and start it without taking it out of your pocket. Still has the normal flip key as backup.
The key is for opening the door to the car, there is still no ignition barrel in the car. Apparently should the fob die you open the door with the...
I've had 2 cars with it now (one being my current A1 so probably not too dissimlar to the A3 one) and I must admit while it is good I'm not sure it is worth the money. In fairness I asked my Audi salesman if he thought it worth the money and he said no, I still had it anyway as I'd had it before...
Hey h5djr
I hear with S-Tronics that pulling away from junctions is their main issue. I've read from others that theres some kind of noticable delay, is this true? I fear this might be an issue at tricky junctions or roundabouts where you kinda need to take any little chance you get or sit...
Hopefully it might still be available then? I'm not sure if it was ever on the price list for the sportback but yes your right it is still on the price list even though its no longer on the configurator. The price list I have is dated Jan 2013 so surely it can't be that out of date already...
1.2 Petrol Versions have now appeared. Manual and S-Tronic..
Realllllllyyyyyyyyy hope the 1.8 Manual hasn't been stopped, surely not this early into release? I was going to stick my order in next month :((
I do get that the S-Tronic is good and the manual mode is almost the same. But just as a personal preference thing I much prefer the Manual gearbox and controlling the car with the clutch myself. I hope the manual option returns, don't know whether anyone can shed any light on this?
If S-Tronic...
Anyone else noticed the 1.8 TFSI manual has disapeared off the configurator.
Is this a mistake, or was its existence in the first place a mistake? Anyone know what the hecks going on here as thats the one I'm looking to go for!!
I've always associated BMW drivers with the bad rep on the road. Growing up I always heard that was the case and then when I started driving they would always be the ones tailgating people at speed or cutting in front of people, turning left in right hand lanes to skip queue's etc. However as I...
Not to sound really non trusting with this method.... but whats the catch?? How do they achieve such discounts and how much money are they making from this with such discounts?
Ha I know mate, Once I've got myself a go in the 2.0 TDI as long as it throws me back in my seat if I floor it I'll be putting my name down :P
Logically for a car i want to last a long time surely it makes sense to go TDI over TFSI but I just don't want a repeat of my mistake with the 1.6TDI...
Is that similar to the adaptive Xenon then? in that it just turns the headlights, rather than flashing a fog light on?
I wasn't aware of the fog light one though thats funny lol. Similar to when cars where the lights don't go off immediately started appearing and everyone is shouting you to let...
I get around the same in my A1 1.6 TDI. I don't mind the mpg around town like that its to be expected and if I got that from a 2.0 TDI around time I again wouldn't mind that either as its still better than the 18 I used to get in my Civic Type R.
For me its just if I'm only getting that sort of...
Thanks Mark thats great. Yours is the 2 litre diesel too isn't it? Really looks like a terrific engine but I don't do the miles so I wouldn't wand to ****** it up by not giving it the blast it needs (but then it is german so might be ok). But then on the otherhand the tax for the petrol engines...
Hmm what does this adaptive give you, is it just that the lights sort of look into a corner as your going round it? I thought that sort of thing just had to be standard for Xenon's. Its a bit naughty that the S-Line looks to have it as standard, but infact it doesn't have this adaptive part. Yet...
