With the tdi's you might experience some problem with the dpf ( diesel particle filter ) if you do a lot if town driving. 2000 ain't a bad price at all. If you're gonna get one I'd say a 2.0 over a 1.9 all day. Fuel consumption wise all depends on your driving coz the car will shift more than...

I've got a 2.0 tdi Quattro which is 170bhp. But as you're 19 to insure I'd go for 2.0 tdi one. You can pick a nice one up for that sort of money. Is it diesel you want or would you consider petrol?
