Hi guys
My s3 has just developed a weird fault, the temperature needle flashes, like it has a dodgy earth or connection.
It's only the temperature needle that's effected and no fault codes across the engine or instruments.
Anyone else has this issue before?

My S3 hasn't been running as it should so took it a local garage where we ran some test.
Smoke test showed no boost leaks :)
However when reading engine statistics it showed the air intake temperature as 58c. As much as i wished it was that warm it clearly isn't.

My car (S3 8L 210) has been struggling to start recently (and the temperature gauge had stopped working) so thought i would get it a quick scan.

my rear pads are almost gone and its time to replace them. Currently they have the EBC red stuff pads (previous owner added them)
Are they ok for road use? And worth getting again? I've read somewhere they are for track use not road is that true?
