For the footwell lights buy the kit from Bold-sport, fit it and code the car with VCDS,
the door open warning lights and puddle lights were wired to the door controllers, you need the door cards off for this.
Does anyone have an e-mail address that Dean / 4Rings replies to?
I sent an e-mail to service@4rings.co.uk on September 29th and have not received a reply yet.
He has yet to test the lights out in action, the car has halogens and std (non LED) rear lights.
Here is the screen shot of the adaptation changes:
(The car is a March 2008 2.7TDi Le Mans Avant)
You have a cable running (old) hacked software, this is the reason you cannot update it, the hacked software pre dates your cars software, this is going to be your biggest stumbling block.
Personally I wouldnât connect any hacked software into a £2K car⦠let alone a £20K+ one, however it is...
As Chris said, VCDS-Mobile is due out shortly (it is going to be dearer than the current HEX+CAN interface).
Save the scan then clear the fault codes, they will not âfix themselvesâ but if the fault does not reappear (intermittent fault) then the DTC will stay cleared.
I cannot see why it...

The easiest way to do this is to save a scan before changing ANYTHING, all the codes will then be stored if you mess anything up or introduce a DTC.
Basic DTC scans are easy, as are long code changing, it then gets a bit more complex if you need to change the codes via the binary or the long...
Glad you got it figured out by yourself :icon_thumright:
You really were on a hiding to nothing though, as you wanted support for something that you were not willing to support yourself ?
how does that work?
You may think that $99 is a lot of money for ânothingâ (or the odd e-mail...
Nothing worth mentioning really, I did pick up lots of useful tips from my (race) engine builder though.
ATEOTD itâs your car and your money to do with as you wish, I am simply letting you know the laws iof physics, cold air is denser than warm air, the denser the air the more power an engine...
I thought the whole 7K limit is a great idea by Audi to stop you revving the engine too hard whilst the oil is still âcoldâ, unfortunately IMO it fails on two points:
1/ 7K is still far too high for a cold engine.
2/ Oil does not reach optimum temperature until around 98º anyway, so Audi...
