Help with Xenon Plus lights Tourist Mode 2012 A3 Sportback Black Edition 1.8 TFSI

You have a cable running (old) hacked software, this is the reason you cannot update it, the hacked software pre dates your cars software, this is going to be your biggest stumbling block. Personally I wouldn’t connect any hacked software into a £2K car… let alone a £20K+ one, however it is...

    VCDS for Ipad

As Chris said, VCDS-Mobile is due out shortly (it is going to be dearer than the current HEX+CAN interface). Save the scan then clear the fault codes, they will not ‘fix themselves’ but if the fault does not reappear (intermittent fault) then the DTC will stay cleared. I cannot see why it...

    DIS Fuel Consumption Correction?

Upping the percentage lowers the MPG, on the cars i have calibrated 1MPG = 2%, so if the DIS was reading 5MPG over the actual figure, raise the 100% (OE setting) to 110%. HTH

Is a VCDS easy to use ?

The easiest way to do this is to save a scan before changing ANYTHING, all the codes will then be stored if you mess anything up or introduce a DTC. Basic DTC scans are easy, as are long code changing, it then gets a bit more complex if you need to change the codes via the binary or the long...

Glad you got it figured out by yourself :icon_thumright: You really were on a hiding to nothing though, as you wanted support for something that you were not willing to support yourself ? how does that work? You may think that $99 is a lot of money for ‘nothing’ (or the odd e-mail...

    Benjamins S2000 air filter mod.

Nothing worth mentioning really, I did pick up lots of useful tips from my (race) engine builder though. ATEOTD it’s your car and your money to do with as you wish, I am simply letting you know the laws iof physics, cold air is denser than warm air, the denser the air the more power an engine...

Open filter = more noise and more heat soak, which in turn = less power…. brilliant mod

    Pipe dream - owning a b7 rs4

I thought the whole 7K limit is a great idea by Audi to stop you revving the engine too hard whilst the oil is still ‘cold’, unfortunately IMO it fails on two points: 1/ 7K is still far too high for a cold engine. 2/ Oil does not reach optimum temperature until around 98º anyway, so Audi...
