    Has my TMC packed up?

Was rectified on mine only for about a month, then it failed again. I also lost the BST summertime adjust option at the same time, so have to set the time manually. It is maybe only an issue with older 8v's as I haven't seen anyone complain lately.

    Rear Light Glass Question

Had exactly the same in my near side reverse light too! Audi took it out FOC at service time. Sorted.

    Has my TMC packed up?

Collected my car today after it's service. They had to do a couple of Audi requested updates, then said they tested my issues and found no faults, all is working as it should be and the TMC is working fine! True enough, TMC is illuminated and I am suddenly getting all the traffic info again...

    Best wheel seal

+1 for poorboys. Easy to apply and smells nice too. One coat has lasted nearly 12 months, making the wheels easy to clean.

    Has my TMC packed up?

I just don't think it works anymore. Turn it up full, or turn it off - no difference.

    Has my TMC packed up?

Mine goes in for its first service a week Friday, and I've reported the TMC and GALA issues for them to look at. I can't be bothered to explain the summertime clock issue, and I guess it's probably all connected anyway. Will let you know if they can do anything.

    Has my TMC packed up?

My TMC is permanently greyed out and I get no traffic info (don't use it a lot though anyway). I also have the GPS BST clock issue mentioned previously, and I think that GALA has stopped working (think someone mentioned on another thread maybe).I've tried resetting the MMI but no joy.I've not...

    Delivery miles

Also my dealer told me that the cars are shipped in a 'limp mode' with most of the features inactive, so the guys in the ports only have the necessary functions available to them. Only when the dealer does the PDI and activates the MMI etc. can you get all the functions and power. I don't think...

Feedback from those with S3s now

It may be that you have cycled through the drive select options some time after pushing the start/stop button. This will reactivate it as soon as you pass through the efficiency/economy mode.

S3 Colours - Pics of each option??

I'm a bit surprised more people don't go for the exclusive colours really. I know they are £2000 but the potential to be unique and the wow factor created would be great. For £1200 more than Panther or Estoril, and on a £35000 spend anyway, it's got to be worth a thought. Bit of a risk not...

    Reversible boot mat / liner?

Yes. The mat is purely an additional, removable item.

    Reversible boot mat / liner?

The boot floor is a standard rigid carpeted surface like the brochures show. This mat is simply a piece of folded carpet with rubber on the reverse, with the fold out flap. As I say, I didn't like it at first, but got it how I want it, and it does its job. It just depends what you want it to do...

    Reversible boot mat / liner?

The main advantage from my point of view, which this mat offers and the liners don't, is the flap which covers the bumper area. My last car got all scratched up from the dogs, and this really does stop that well. I also use a dog blanket type thing on top of this mat, which makes it look it a...

    Reversible boot mat / liner?

You're Welcome :) It won't sit flush with the floor in the lower position. The carpet side.

    Reversible boot mat / liner?

I found it a bit cumbersome to start with, but its ok when you get it how you want it. I have the boot floor in the lower position, and the rubber side of the liner upwards. The flap is great for folding out and protecting the bumper while the dog jumps in and out ( if you've got them trained to...

Hill Hold Assist and S-Tronic... anyone?

I don't have it and its fine, I actually quite like the way it operates without it. However, it's only £90, so it could be worth adding while you have the opportunity so its there if you want it.

Hold Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control

Ive not used it to a great extent but so far i have found you can absolutely rely on the ACC in stop start traffic. The above video shows the operation pretty well. I also found it sometimes does not start you moving again when you come to a complete standstill, and you have to give a little...

    Arm Rest

If its not locking in place you need to raise it fully, then close it again. Then when you raise it again it will stay in place.

    4 & 5 Year Warranty Question ?

I ordered the 5 year warranty and there is no EA9 code stamped in my service schedule either. I was a little concerned, but if push came to shove I think it's all listed on the spec sheet/receipt I have. Makes me feel better that yours is the same :)

    Hill Hold

One cool thing I've noticed about the hill hold (standard not £90 option), is that it only activates when relevant. For example, if you drive up a hill and come to a standstill with the foot brake, then select reverse (s-tronic), the vehicle will roll back immediately you release the foot brake...
