    S8 D2 Covid Deathbed

Cheers, hammer time I guess. Am I right in thinking that there isn’t anything I can do with the battery coding in VCDS with this car? I’ve looked in both address 19 & 61 and can’t see anything to update??

    S8 D2 Covid Deathbed

Morning all! Hoping to get some help and hoping I've overlooked something really daft in order to get my D2 going again! I was using up to the covid situation, but it's now sat for a loong time without me starting/using it (I know, I know..) I have replaced the battery, and now I've got...

Help with strange elec/starting issue please...

I've put this in general, just in case it's not car specific and someone with an Audi has had this issue before...but if it matters, the problem is a 2003 (D2) S8. So, the car starts fine, drives, turns and stops fine... no issues, no warning lights, no issues with the scan. I'll drive it...

    Rs6 gearbox c5

sorry to say that it sounds like your gearbox has went, could be the torque converter, could be the oil level or the filter, could be the switch or control valve. very common fault, the boxes really are s***t and the reason I ended up selling my rs6. the car had £12k spent on gearboxes and...

    Brake callipers advice please.

the rear caliper wind back tool goes inside the caliper - where the pads are, but the handle for it comes out the hole you are thinking of covering up, so you would be blocking that off..... at least that's how I use my wind back tool.

    The world vs Audi drivers...

I feel the same too... the amount of idiot S3 / RS3 drivers around here want to try and prove something is getting out of control.... had a stupid c**t undertake me yesterday to get 1 place ahead, and in doing so nearly hit the ambulance (with its lights on) that I had slowed down to give room...

    Paint flaking off!

Really?!? As long as you're happy I guess, but haven't they just caused more damage to your car? surely the paint should have been there though... other S3 bumpers are painted in there, why shouldn't yours? how have they 'scraped' it off without compromising the rest of the bumper, if paint...

you can use petrol, WD40 or white spirit. there are more dedicated products out there, I use Autosmart Tardis which I think is the best.

    Paint flaking off!

if it's overspray, the black will be raised - I.e. it will be on top of the silver paint. It's very easy to prove it one way or another..I'm shocked someone had the balls to try and pass it off TBH... if the black is lower, and the silver raised then paint is missing, and it should be silver...

    New Car 'Paint Protection'

They are easily one of the best in the UK... not as showy as many, but would run rings around most. Gordon is one of the few detailers in the UK I would let touch my cars...if I didn't like butchering myself...:rockwoot:
