Hi all, My air con doesn't go cold until I've been driving for around 5 mins and wondered if this is normal? If its hot outside then I put the temp on low and press auto and the fans blast on full but just blow the hot air from outside for roughly 5 mins until the air con decides to work...

I'll be keeping my eye on this thread as mine is also doing this. Fans come on full blast but just with outside/hot air being blown then after a few miles it finally kicks in. Makes for a few uncomfortable miles in the hot weather..

Mine does exactly the same thing and posted on this forum a while ago about it. Nobody had an answer then but it would be good if anybody could shed any light on this problem.

I'm going through the same situation at the moment and I'm sending mine off to Midland Turbos.

I'm not too sure about the leaking but mine must have worn enough to create some play then they popped apart. The seal must have been lost in the road so I had to get towed back.

I'd say change them if there leaking as they dont cost much. Mine went on my A3 about a month ago, 200 miles from home and needed to get towed back via the AA.

Sounds like it's in limp mode, are there any warning lights lit up while driving?

I see now in the ebay listing, he's not sent me that one but the rectangular one. Going to give it a go over the weekend and see how I get one. It will be the VCDS settings which have me if anything as pretty new top all this.

The mic is as in the listing, it's rectangular so hopefully it'll be ok. Does having bose make you need another mic as per the guide linked above? Also can anyone confirm whether the VCDS setting used in the guide above will work for me? Cheers
