    SMF Woes

Cheers VAG-Slag, enlarged the holes slightly and tightened it up, now sits fine. Back down the garage first thing to drop it off

    SMF Woes

Should the pressure plate sit flush on the flywheel? Presumably I can just enlarge the 3 holes if that is the case?

    SMF Woes

Garage fitting my SMF say it doesn't fit, I've got a lightened HotGolf flywheel and a Sachs VR6 clutch. From my pics (apologies for the poor quality) the flywheel bolts all line up fine and the 3 lugs seem to locate ok however the lugs don't go right through, does this seem right?

    K04 to K03 Adapter

Cheers Prawn, yeah I have the correct DP etc. Presumably oil lines will be different than the K03 but seems a simpler (cheaper!) way of fitting a K04. What would I do with regards to a TIP?

    K04 to K03 Adapter

Evening, First post for a while so apologies if this has been covered already (I did search) Saw this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251706306386?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D251706306386%26_rdc%3D1 Just wondered if it's someone on here...

Trouble Starting & Lumpy Idle - Totally Stumped

Unplugged MAF and all appears well. Will get some cleaner from Maplins tonight. If cleaning it doesn't improve things am I going to the dealer for this or will a Bosch one from ECP do?

Trouble Starting & Lumpy Idle - Totally Stumped

Not scanned it yet, there's a guy local to me advertising on Gumtree so think I'll do this first before I spend any more cash. The CTS & thermostat are both genuine Audi parts tho.

Trouble Starting & Lumpy Idle - Totally Stumped

Guys, I'm at my wits end with my car. It's a 1.8t AGU. I've changed the thermostat, coolant temperature sensor and crank speed sensor in a bid to remedy the hot start issue and lumpy idle. After doing the thermostat and coolant temperature the idle was good. I started to get problems starting...

    Loud Engine Ticking

Inside as well as outside, definitely engine related. I know some AGUs do tick but this just seems a bit louder than normal. Might do an oil change tomorrow to see if that clears anything up. Couldn't pinpoint a particular area of the engine. Cambelt tensioner?

    Loud Engine Ticking

Could a loud ticking in the engine bay be caused by a failing crankshaft sensor? I bought a replacement today but didn't get a chance to fit, hopefully will do tomorrow morning. Noticed a loud ticking/clicking/tapping which I can't pinpoint where it's coming from. Search turned up...

Crankshaft Sensor / Engine Speed Sensor

Cheers, I thought that would be the answer

Crankshaft Sensor / Engine Speed Sensor

Evenin' I suspect I need a new Crankshaft Sensor (or Engine Speed Sensor) as I'm getting hot start issues and a jerk when I ease off the gas, part no. 06A906433L. With something like this should I go genuine VAG or are any of the 'OEM' ones (e.g. Febi) up to the job?

    Wet Footwell Again :-(

I'll have a look at this but I've never been able to get under the drivers side of the scuttle panel. Passenger side is easy as I've got the access flap for the pollen filter. Does the scuttle panel need to come off or can I just bend it up a bit?

    Wet Footwell Again :-(

Yeah, had a good look around it when I replaced the pollen filter a couple of months ago, was bone dry. I'll run some cable or wire down the drain holes again and see if there are any blockages

    Wet Footwell Again :-(

Sadly no cigar smokers but I'd give anything a try to get to the bottom of this! With the sunroof, are there just the two drain holes towards the front or are there two towards the back as well?

    Wet Footwell Again :-(

I've got all sorts of these moisture absorbing bags dotted about the car to stop it misting up, put chalk along the door sills to see if it's coming the the door seals, totally at a loss and not far giving up on it too!

    Wet Footwell Again :-(

I'll check them again, looks the rain might be easing off so I'll pop out in a bit.
