The driver display panel in between the speedo and rev counter is playing up. Doesn't display things properly, sorta looks like a lots of the individual dots that make up the actual diaplay are dead. I think the info is there but you can't read it due to the missing dots Anyone seen this...

My '99 A3 has got the stock Audi cassette HU in which naturally I want to change for a cd player. It looks wider that a stabdard HU and I'm not sure if it does anything else so what's the advice on changing it over? Do I need to get a mounting kit?
