To be specific, when in ‘D’ mode, oddly enough, the car will shift to second and bounce back to 4.5k revs, it’ll machine gun then continue and shift up, back to 4.5k revs and do the same. Typically through 2nd and 3rd only.

1. Misfires WOT, worse in ‘D’ than ‘S’ and not in manual (4K-5k powerband)

Well audi told me in the first place that the actual problem was my ECU. they fobbed me off with 'the internals of your ecu are damaged'. the car does need a service and i did question the coil packs however my garage said that problem wouldnt do what the car is doing if that makes sense

Petrol, the ECU was second hand, 100% standard and working and also the same part number. The ECU reprogramming company checked it. the new ecu has been plugged into a machine and there is no errors logged on it
