Taken a photo of it to demonstrate what im going on about. This is a photo of the linkage on my golf as its the same, but easier to see.
The pivot point with the red lines to is what i think needs greasing. Theres nothing in the gearbox that would be stopping the movement on the gearstick left...
The gearstick in my S3 isnt going back to centre when i push it from one side to the other.
Ive looked at the linkages at the gearbox ends and it seems like its sticky at that end.
Question is, if i go ahead and take it apart, will it be easy to reassemble in the same place? Dont want to be...
So little update. Got the Audi mot'd on Saturday ready for the nice weather we will hopefully be getting! Developed a misfire at full boost - discovered it was a dodgy coilpack luckily had a spare.
Havent given her a proper clean in a while so started on it yesterday.
First was a heavy hit of...
Hey errybody, hope you're all enjoying this not so bad weather.
Car hasn't been used properly in a good 2/3 months (i don't drive it in the wet), been doing a few things in it in the last week or so and its been fine, runs as it should. But today i went for my MOT and its misfiring at full...
Did you have the seal already over the piston? If so its pretty much impossible to do!
Make sure the undercut in the caliper is clean as they can crap in the corners. It should seat in there fairly easily. Then once youve done that you have to carefully lever it over the piston, making sure...
Ill elaborate a bit on that as that's a bit vague... Pretty sure this is how I did it... Fit the seal inside the caliper, then using some brake fluid to lubricate the seal and piston use a couple of screw drivers to lever the boot over the piston. Then it can be slid in until you can seat the...
It's a bit of a fiddle! If I remember correctly you have to get the seal seated inside calliper before stretching the seal over the piston. There's probably a tutorial on YouTube of how to do it.
Got this from Online Wheel and Tyre Fitment Calculator. Offset, Tyre Stretch and Speedo Error | Will They Fit...

Reading at 30mph 33.05mph

I can't really remember specific problems that people have had, but it basically runs down the same lines as what Sam is saying, all they want is your money, the customer service is crap. I also went there when I was about 17/18 for a job when I was just getting into engineering and they were...
I dont live that far from TSR, and so i know a lot of people who have used TSR performance... I hear that they used to be very good. But recently not so good. I would personally stay away from them.
Put the boost gauge in, fairly happy with the colour, perhaps a little too pale, but fine for now.
Before and after
