Hi Everyone, I only remembered about this Rides thread now. Sadly the S3 was sold on to a tuner as stated by JOSE, all parts were transferred to a 9N polo including rear diff and propshaft, suspension, motor, brakes etc. I have moved on to greener pastures, for some would not think so lol...

Progress was made yesterday. Started her up and is running like a dream. On the test drive she hit over to 140 000km :grin: And also busy with some a pillar pods.

So Sunday in the rain paul and I braved the wetness and fitted the motor, thanks for the help bud. Yesterday I assembled some more odds and ends, almost there.

Mostly because of budget. Funds have been plenished lol

Paul came through yesterday and we did some wrenching. All the small things took quite some time and the gearbox was a bitch to mount but we got it done. Motor will go in after Christmas.

So happy I can poop my pants. Ordered the part yesterday from vw, they sent it from PE and it arrived this morning :grin:

Still waiting on one important part before I can finish the build. Will only have it Monday :bang: On a plus side I received my hybrid ko4 yesterday :hurray:

So we received the crank back from engineers and started right away.

Mountings back from poly performance.

Cracked sump with no oil warning. Motor was heat seized.

Excellent work as always.

Started to assemble the engine yesterday. Engineers ****** up the clearance on the one journal, so they need to fix it Wednesday. They also broke off one tooth on the oil pump drive gear :bang: Big thanks to my father in law for all the help.

So after some bantering and head scratching we decided to go hybrid. ST billet wheel and bigger exhaust wheel with 7degree cut back with machining of the housing and porting of the housing and manifold. Stock s3 wheel vs ST billet
