Standard car does have lighting inside, which would serve its purpose well I'm sure.
Interior lighting does add footwell lights and LED lighting for front and rear passengers.
A fair few passengers have commented at how bright the LED lighting is and classy look as it fades. We'll worth the...
Was curious how the original poster got on swapping out bulbs...
I've had a new set of Nightbreaker bulbs to install for a while now but dipped beam bulbs looked impossible to access do put it off....
I've been using an SD card with all music on WAV format and they sound better than any other formats tested and I tried various. Wanted a lossless format and WAV is my preferred format so was chuffed to find Audi Sound System recognised it.
Ripped lots of cd's using windows media player...
I have an old desktop PC which I still use Windows Media Player for ripping CDs onto a hard drive and I usually prefer to use the WAV lossless format.
so all I did was copy the artist / album folder onto SD card which has the album art files as well as music files and surprisingly the A3 MMI...
If you wish to use a lossless format the SD Card will play WAV files and copying album art as folder.jpg file into the appropriate folder with music files, the MMI seems clever enough to show album art.
This format is not listed in the owners manual but worked for me as I tried a few formats...
Apologies for bringing this old thread back from the dead.....as it's been a wee while since I started it, however has any A3 8V owners tried swapping out the standard halogen bulbs for alternative H7 bulbs.
I picked up Osram Nighbreakers Special Edition bulbs for a decent price on Amazon a few...
agree with this post.
I've used a TomTom GO 730 for years and was half expecting the Audi SatNav to be a bit crap, but really have been pleasantly delighted with it so far.
Lack of speed camera info is something I've been thinking of but considering I got the SatNav for free c/o of early A3...
I'm sure you can set the volumes for media and satnav so as they are at driver designated levels. From memory when satnav is 'talking' adjusting the volume knob will change that volume which I'm assuming should remain distinct from radio volume.
My wife has our car just now so unable to verify.....
Loving everything about my new SB and the sport suspension is perfect, not once have I or my wife felt any harshness or anything that would suggest we'd erred on our choice.
Don't have the web link to hand but there is a site that allows you to key in each of the 3 character values which are in your log book delivery sticker (for want of a better phrase) I went through it and it showed my car was built with sport suspension hopefully one of the other regular posters...
If the build period is too much why not take back your deposit and see what stock cars are available elsewhere as from my experience some dealer stock will have popular options included?
I spotted a very smart black SB looked like an S-Line yesterday parked on the side of the road as I came off the Edin bypass onto A702.
Thats the only other new SB I've spotted on the road other than my own pride and joy of course :-)
I've found the new A3 SB to be quieter than my previous SB and noticeably so.
Wife says the same as did my dad so quite surprised by the comments here.
I understood that all uk A3 models had the popup screens and onscreen MMI that first pic is new to me.......
I do recall the german config had an option for a radio unit or something that sat atop the dashboard but have not seen or heard of anyone in the uk referring to that spec.
Maybe other...
**edited ** I had indeed misread original poster so would agree you'd hope that Edin Audi had ticked the option list as it was an Audi offer so why wouldn't the delaership ensure it was supplied with the car on delivery. Would surely be an incentive for a prospective purchaser......
