No and pushing the switch didn't turn them off

Just had a call from the misses. She's borrowed the car and when she's parked up the hazard lights have come on. Couldn't turn them off. Turned the car on off. Locked the doors unlocked and they wouldn't go off. 5 mins later they just stopped. Any ideas? Just a bit random? its an 1.8t a3 2000

No doesn't seem like a missfire, just acts like I've reached the red line. Can see it on the boost gauge to, hits 0.5 and doesn't seem to want to go any further. I'll see if I can get some logs, thanks.

Yeah been plugged in a few times for different reasons and nothings flagged up. Seems strange that the cars great below 4/5k and then just sort of stops.

Hi, Have a 1.8t 2000. Drives great, until you try and put your foot down past 4000 revs. Pulls great till then, then just acts like its red lining and has hit some sort of limiter? Any ideas?

Hi sorry for the stupid question. Need new dipped bulbs and different sites seem to suggest different bulbs. Heard there was a change in 2000. Mine is a W reg 1.8t. Would I need H1, H4 or H7 for dipped? Thanks

Hi, Have an a3 lowered, not sure on what springs though. Theres a knocking on full lock, been told everything is fine its just where the lowering springs have been fitted and only way to stop it would be to replace the drop links? Is this true? and that an expensive replacement? Not a big deal...

Would have thought it was clutch related if the revs are going up a lot quicker than the speedo?

Yeah thats exactly what happens with mine. I'll check the engine mounts, seems like a better fix than turn my stereo up till I can't hear the noise anymore. Thanks for the replies

Hi have a 2000 a3 1.8t and when taking my foot off the gas get a sort of clunking noise coming from somewhere. It's not very loud and doesn't happen all the time. Usually happens driving a bit harder. Just a bit annoying. Any ideas what it could be? Thanks

Sorry if this is a stupid question. Never owned a turbo car before. Have a 2000 a3 1.8t when putting my foot down gets to about 0.5 boost and seems to hit what's like a limiter. Change gear again and it will go again for a bit but theres a definite wall at 0.5. Cars no where near the red line on...

Celica had no low down power. Was good in high revs. This seems to pull really well throughout. Thanks ill get a thermostat ordered then.
