Change the sensor on the right hand side of engine. I've measured temps via OBD port, if it indicates 90 on the dial, temps can vary from 83 to 97 deg and still show 90. Get your temps up to normal and put car in neutral, rev the engine to 2000 rpm and listen if the fan comes on. Monitor temps...

The Water methanol actually helps in cleaning the valves. I've seen far worse on lower mileage cars. Should have her up and running by the weekend. After fixing all the boost and vacuum leaks, new Injectors and a 2nd Water meth nozzle, the car should be hauling again.

Just an update. Pulled the injectors out and sent them away for testing. Injector 2 & 3 Fail the test. I've purchased the thermostat and temp sensor, they going in to fix the temp issue. This is what the valves look like at 110 000 Km's with Watermeth for the last 20 000 kms.

Hi Alex. Can you confirm the RS4 Injector part number you used on your build please. I have it as 079 906 036D and the Repair kit 06E 998 907. I had a misfire and was told 2 x Injectors on my car were faulty, so now would be the ideal time to get the bigger ones.

I know this is an old thread, but has someone figured out how to address the issue of under reading ? Doing 180 kmh and showing 169 on GPS is a huge error. My Tyre size and stock Mags are same as the Manual says. Can't VCDS or any other gadget bring the indication closer to GPS speeds ?
