As with most of these stories it is worth reminding Audi UK that it is proven that this problem occurs in cars that have been fully maintained by Audi with correct oil and therefore on what basis would it be relevant that incorrect oil "may" have been used. They can't have their cake and eat it...
Get back on to Audi UK re the servicing. If you go back to the early days of this thread there is a copy of the instructions that were sent to the dealers about how to handle this matter. Even if Audi UK can't find your reg on there they can always register it again

Contact Audi UK and explain your concerns. Say you feel you are being held to ransoms. The Audi UK guidelines to this case clearly say that the customer must not feel that Audi or the dealers are profiteering in any way over this matter.

The thing I don't understand is - if cars with a full Audi service history fail and have used the correct oil, why are they worried about cars not using the correct oil?

I think I need to ring Audi UK. I did not get any free servicing. I can't work out whether that is something the dealer is giving or if it is coming from Audi UK

If you don't have a dipstick, then you will have an oil reading on your screen somewhere. If they have sent you in for an oil test, your engine is in the range that may have problems. Do the test, and if it fails, they will rebuild your engine (unless you have had it serviced by cowboys for...
Sadly it is probably worth looking elsewhere. It is unlikely that Audi UK will give you any certainty about whether it will be covered.
From the point of view of 2011 v 2012 cars be careful as many 2011 cars will have been sold in 2012. I don't think the engine or chassis range has ever been...
Additionally you might want to point out that the fault occurs in vehicles with full Audi service history so what difference does it make? As advised, go straight to Audi UK.
Wish you luck - I'm amazed how bad radio reception is in these cars. I've just had the FM/AM Concert replaced with the DAB/FM/AM version, and the aerial amplifier replaced as a result, and yet reception is still poor. I blame it on the rear windscreen aerial setup they choose to use
