I did exactly the same on the stalk lol!! I wondered why it was so cheap. Once u have right parts it's easy mate. Just make sure your clutch switch (common problem) is working.
It's a blue plug with an orange lock over the top. Just unlock and you will be able to slide block out and then like everyone else has said scotch lock onto pin 1. Make sure you have good contact because you will not want to be upside down in your foot well again unless your a dwarf lol!!!

Hi guys
Hope you are all well. Since I have had my car the horn sounded dodgy. I'm not entirely sure if it's the low or high tone. Is there anyway to check without replacing both? VCDS? And is it an easy job?
Car is 2007 sline avant.
Cheers

Like others have said its dead simple once you have the correct info. Some top chaps on here helped me and bar the clutch switch that I needed to replace it would have took less than an hour to do.
I'm too far away or else id help you.
I'll do a swap with you mate. If you want to fit an armrest do you need a different centre console? I can't see where it would go. On my old anni golf you just took part of the existing console out and put the armrest in.
Look at my past posts mate it may help. I have a BRE engine and my car surged between 1200 and 2200 rpm and it happened all the time hot or cold. Eventually after loads of messing around, a new ecu resolved the issue.
Hi mate

Thanks
Simon
Right I don't think I can complete. Even though you say I don't have to do the 03 abs brakes I must have to do something as its not working and I have now also activated cruise on 01 engine. However the reason I can't access 03 abs brakes to code is because my login - 11 button is greyed out...
