As per the title is anyone running 19" 8.5J ET43 alloys on their pre facelift, what tyres are you using and are you rub free?
I've acquired a set of these and fitted them today but there is rubbing even at c30mph.
I'm on the standard suspension set up and need to take out the arch liner screw...
Please could someone photoshop some 19" alloys on for me.
One in silver and one in anthracite/black.
If you could also lower it a tad that would be fantastic.
Thanks guys
Guys - I've got a specific problem which doesn't seem to be covered anywhere else.
For info I'm using they older style RNSE with CD/TV button on it.
I'm using 4GB SD (not SDHC) cards by Platinum which I know other users have used without issue.
Files are in MP3 format from my MacBook which...
Hi all
I've got a 57 plate S3 8P2
I'm after the gloss black front grille frame as I've currently got a chrome one and want to change it. Is the following part number correct? 8P4807715 VMZ
Also in respect of the air guide grille (fog light grille) there seems to be only one part number listed...
So after a few weeks of ownership i took a drive up to Brecon today and finally got around to taking a few photos!
Excellent spec as far as i was concerned - probably helped that it was an audi demonstrater originally. Only thing missing is cruise control but know this can be relatively easily...

Hi guys I'm looking at some alloys which are meant for an Audi TT so have the following fitment;
235/35/19 9J ET52
Are these going to be OK on my 8P2 S3?
I know that ideally it's best to go for 8.5J if possible.
Car isn't lowered at the moment but will be about 65-75mm If possible.
Are...
Please could someone help me out with two part numbers please;
Rs6 Grille to do the S3 8p2 conversion (aware that it requires chopping)

I want to do the honeycomb mod to my S3 8P2.
I know that what is required is to take the original S3 grille, chop out the mesh then insert the chopped out mesh from the Rs grille but is there a how to guide on doing this anywhere?
Also I want the new grille to be just mesh - I.e. not have a...
Just a quick note to say that Sky delivered a competitive quote on my insurance for the S3 which i've now taken up. The quote for modifications was also really competitive so i know what to expect when these are all put in place.
Process was really hassle free and Danny did work with the...
So after a good 8 weeks of daily checking Autotrader/BCA/Manheim/Audi I've finally put down a deposit on a used S3 8P2 and should be picking it up on the 22nd.
Really pleased with the spec;

When did the Mk2 RNSE come out?
I've found a possible s3 purchase and whilst the description says "DVD SATELLITE NAVIGATION SYSTEM PLUS" there are no pictures so can't yet tell whether this will be Mk1 or 2
Also - any ways of telling once I get to view it? Am I right in thinking mk2 will have...
Stumbled across this tonight when researching buying a used car. I know there are a lot of differing views on what car dealers are and aren't liable for when something goes wrong - hopefully this might help some people out.

Hi guys - apologies for the noob question but was there a point when Xenons became standard equipment on the 8p S3 or have they always been optional?
Is there an easy way to tell if a car has them? The headlight washer perhaps?
Thanks
Have heard a lot of good things about The Phirm recently and seriously considering using them once I've purchased my S3 despite living a fair way away from them.
Noticed on their Facebook page that they are currently working on a 500bhp S3 for a customer (anyone on here?)
be very interested to...
