Well took it to Audi and said I wasn't happy. Anyway a more senior engineer took it for a drive and did more checks and said it is probably a pipe. The HT cable actually works even though a mouse has been living and eating there. I wondered why the mileage is quite low .. car was probably...
OK Went to the Audi dealer who said for â¬75 they don't know what is the problem. Well I took the plastic cover off the engine and found one cable 'chewed' or looks like it .. so could it be this ? I have a good mind to take it back and say 'hello' to the Mgr there and see what he says!
I have a 2006 1.8T Cab Auto and will be trying this as mine is doing just the same .. juddering on idle and a lot on full load when putting my foot down. Did you manage to remove and clean and seemed better afterwards? Also because it was Auto did you run without it or did you just take it out...
OK so I thought it was aa gearbox wobble but having read some posts it could be the Mass Air Flow unit. Does anyone know where this is on this model? I will clean it and see. First I might just disconnect to see if it helps.
Thanks !!
OK having rear more from this and other googled posts I think it is the MAF. Does anyone know where the MAF is on an Audi A4 1.8T 2006 cabriolet ? I will have a go at cleaning it first and see if that makes a difference. Then next go for a reconditioned one.
OK I think it might not be the gearbox. It seems to be getting slowly worse. On idle it will have a kind of heartbeat judder every second or so but not as precise as a heartbeat ie. not 1-2-3-4 but semi-regularly.
Could it be a dirty spark plug and are they easy to pull out and clean or change...
I managed to do the link. I had to get the correct female cables to link into the Bosch 6-pin connector but all worked well. BUT there seemed no way at all to do it internally so had to hide behind the bumper (on the outside) so hope that will be OK. It passed the MOT today. Thanks for help...
Doh .. er why didn't I think of that. Maybe because I was trying to avoid cutting existing cables so if I ever want to bring back to UK I just pop in the old lights.
But yes you are right .. will save â¬100.
I will try and pull the one off each side and swap. Will just use a beep tester...
OK I went to Audi and have a 'plan' :)
I have ordered 4 light connectors and 10 leads (each have either male or female end) for â¬100 :(
So I will try and connect each to the light at the back and cross over one longer lead to the other light (one for reverse and one for fog). I don't know at...
Fitted some 'Sunny' Winter Studded tyres (cheapest ones I could find albeit they are brand new) to the 'reconned' wheels and they actually look good and feel good. Thanks!
Also managad to get some original centre caps from Ebay which made a nice finishing touch.
Have had a few judders or wobbles when driving slowly (say 40 kph) and then pushing the accelerator so gearbox (which is an auto with paddles etc) shifts down and the gearbox kind of judders before starting to speed up.
I think this isn't normal as I have not had this before. I am in the...
I have a UK A4 (RHD) and have changed front lights and now rear lights to LHD. The rear lights are now wrong (ie. the reverse doesn't show neither does the fog) so need a diagram to show the UK model (what comes into these) and the EU one as both have the Fog and Reverse in the opposite sides...
I Bought some second hand alloys from Ebay thinking they would fit.
I just want to make suyre before I go ahead and buy some new Winter Studded tyres for them (as I live in Finland).
Model is
FONDO HA2 NORWAY
7.5J x 17H2
4F0 601 025K Audi
AlSi7MgWa
They are 17" Sport wheels.
I have a...
OK I put the lights on and basically the car says Reverse light doesn't work
I am waiting to see what Audi guy says - he says it might be possible to do something on the front of the car which will swap the leads as the wires seem to go into the bodywork to the front and I don't know how to...
Well I have a working roof ! :)
Happy Days. Well until the snow arrives which could be any day now :(
I replaced the Bow Sensor â¬85 and it didn't work, although the roof did close in front which it didn't do before
Audi expert told me in 5 mins that it was one of two other switches that could...
Just found this in another forum

Well I rang Audi Espoo (and Cardiff) and
â¬89 (Espoo, Finland) £67 (Cardiff, UK)
code - 8H0959613A
G356 Potentiometer (I mis-spelt it before as G536)
But they can't get it for a day :(
I have to buy it in case it is needed .. another possible cost but by the sounds of it maybe the correct...
