Started my annual quest for my insurance, best quote by far from Sky. Beat my current broker by £150 who I have been with for years. Excellent people to deal with & look forward to a happy years motoring in my S4.
I just fitted 4 new PS3's to my S4. Set me back best part of £800 but having been on tyre tests and seen how different brands compare I won't be trying to save cash on tyres again. Given they are the only bit in contact with the road, I will always be buying the best I can.
I have checked the tool box & whole boot area & nothing to be found.
There is one on Ebay but its £5 which seemed a tad steep for a bit of wire.. will give the local dealers a call & see what they come up with.
Failing that, the guys on here RS246.com :: The World's #1 Audi R, S and RS Enthusiast Website are knowledgeble aswell.
I am some way off 95k, but surely you just follow the service schedule in the book?
I wouldnt skimp on tyres. Given they are the only thing between you & the road, surely spending another £30 a corner over Kuhmos (for example) is worth it to protect yourself/family & the car.
I have 235 40 18 on standard B6 S4 Avus alloys at the moment. Are there any major implications of dropping to 225 or up to 245? I have been offered a good discount on the new Michelin Pilot Super Sports but sods law they dont do them in 235 on an 18.
Thanks
Steve
I have had a S4 cab for nearly a year now, dont average anything like 21 on the journeys I make but they tend to be short commuting, others have got nearer that figure.
I have only ever run mine on Optimax, Tesco 99 etc but filler cap says 95 or Super so should be okay on normal unleaded.
Got...
I use this place in halifax Service and Repairs - Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, BMW - Halifax, Hudderfield ... used them for all my cars, from Polo, M3, W12 and current S4.
i have an S4 cab with tiptronic box. it has paddles behind the wheel not buttons on the wheel itself. also 6 speed in D and on the paddles, reverts to 5 when u put it in S.
I have owned mine since May 10. Its drinks fuel, averaging bout 17mpg but hardly any motorway driving so bills are large for Super/Optimax etc but insurance / tax no more than previous Imprezas / M3's.
I have yet to get it serviced (due april) so cannot offer up any thoughts on those sort of...
I would say least 5k to fix the front. I had a shunt in mine, bill came to 5k for the repair & the list of parts was about 4 sides of A4, all sorts of little bits n bobs required.
