Fair point but I'm sure it isn't half the cars value for a set of injectors. Anyway comes down to personal preference at the end of the day, sounds as though you've managed to save yourself a fair deal. Knowing my luck I'd have one go straight after replacing the other. Also have to bare in mind...
OMG! When did they start producing shims for these!? :chargrined: I ended up holding mine in place with epoxy putty and went over with a black paint pen to make it less obvious.
Because it's best practice and also if a component fails for one cylinder it is also likely to fail for other cylinders in future. Just as I replaced both swirl flap actuator arms as opposed to the one that failed. Also the labour cost is significantly less when all injectors are replaced...
They won't be able to crack down on it as their too deluded cracking down on speeding motorists as statistically speed kills more than people who use mobile phones whilst driving. It also happens to generate more money for them too...
It can be seriously dangerous but no way is it as serious as driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol surely!?
As above I agree, with a heavy fine but certainly doesn't deserve a ban. Considering a GPS navigation could be just as distracting if not even more, where do you draw the line?

The standard filter is good enough for the airflow of the engine, it has been designed for it after all. I find replacing the filter element completely is better than cleaning a "lifetime" panel filter every year.
