I had a similar issue when I debadged my boot.. A decent mobile bodywork specialist should be able to get rid of the marks relatively cheaply.. I didn't even get charged as I was getting my alloys refurbished at the same time.

I have a similar problem with my stereo, it seems to switch itself off if it's been on for a long period of time (over 45mins?), it's also developed a buzzing noise.

Nice idea mate but it would've probably been cheaper to pick up a nice S-line and then map it as you'll probably end up with the same result but fair play its something different...
