im getting some s3 xenons facelift lights and im going to fit them to my prefacelift a3 . iv read the stickies and fitting them is no problem .will the wiring be the same idea as the sticky thread or will it be alot harder with them being xenons??
it was a cheap patterned sump i think anyway and the crack was about 6 inches long.could be chewed with the hassle so on the fone to tps straight away had it all in stock.less hassle.
yeah cleaned the pickup pipe it had a big lump of silicone init from previous sump fitment.i was suprised to see the old water pump looked perfect condition considering theres no history of it being done. anyways all sorted just took it for a good drive and its all good.all in a days work.

when i got the car the temp never sat at 90 it sat at 70 ish .i then replaced stat with a new genuine one and that made the car run at 85 ish and the fan always cuts in at 90.last night i noticed the temp drop and run at 75-80 and the fan cutting in at 85.the temp sensor came up at fault on...
you definatly need to take more off the wing to get the light nice and snug.and maybe more off the bumper guide if its touching that still aswel. then loosen all the headlight bolts so the light is movable hold it where it needs to be then nip them up.

basically i had a remap at r tech on saterday and all has been wel until today i noticed it wasnt boosting as high .the remap took it up to 20 psi (1.4)bar but it has dopped to 16 psi max and doesnt feel as torquey.nick did say if i was to drop boost it would be a split pipe somewere but i cant...
he did say he could of got a bit more power but he said better to go a bit lower for the reliability of it. on the form it says stage 1 custom remap and pointed out maf was overreading boost pipe kept popping off and dip stick tube was leaking also temp sensor was crap. car feels really pokey...
yeah i no the turbo isnt going to be 100% but was on the car when i bought it so no point in fixing something that isnt broke yet.but im happy with it at the min .often see genuine ko3s turbos pop up on ebay so ill just grab one when i need one.

just got back from the 400 mile round trip and i am wel impressed what the lads done to my car .very pleased with the results ,the car feels an animal now.
