Sump off job, had same problem with my 1.8 non turbo rattled from the top. Changed cam shaft tens did oil flush and no joy till got new oil pump but i learned that when changing camshaft tens the new chain should be installed cause i still have a small rattle at the tensioner from the chain.
Just ordered febi on ebay so I will see the quality when its fitted. On passenger side i fitted unknown maker cv boot and rubber is quite hard and it was really hard to fit it but as long as it last i dont mind.

finally got time to change it and honestly thats probably the easiest job if dont change brake fluid. It took me about 10 min to change it and no bleeding needed. At least i feel safe knowing that brakes gona be there when i need them :racer:
Hi. I found today that my brake reservoir has little cracks on the brake servo side and it leeks brake fluid but only small bit. I just wondering is it straight swap job of the actual brake fluid reservoir or the whole servo out job. Thanx.
Yeah my brakes discs are vented. Is greenstuff brake pads any good with standard brake disc cause i was doing a bit of maintenance work on my car just spotted that they nearly gone so was thinking to upgrade the pads.
i dont think i have much problems with brakes cause its not that much of power. the only issue would be handling id say a bit of powerflex bushes and good set of tyres and them im ready :racer:
I was thinking for a while now to attend some track day events. I have 98 1.8 N/A 2wd B5. Is it worth it to do some small suspension upgrades and try to participate in such event or not. Car is in daily use but im just after a bit of fun and improve my driving skills. Cheers.
8000 miles that doesn't sound right. ive done around 10k miles since i got it lowered and there is no deferent wear in tyres at all. if its not aligned after lowering it its gona eat your tyres cause i remember doing alignment on my car after getting coilovers it was of by more then 2 degrees.
