It's always best to run a fuse
if need be you can make a test probe so to speak using a bulb and some wire that will soon show if power is there as it will light up it sounds to me like you don't have a good connection somewhere or possibly a dud Relay at the worst
Just thought I would update this I stripped it down and found a chunk of metal that had come from tentioner had gone under the belt and caused the crank to jump 1 tooth !!! That was very lucky.
Fitted all new belts,water pump and tentioner and I have the proper VCDS so dialed the pump in...
Yeah I have I looked everywhere and in the end bit the bullet and fired it into Audi they have said cambelt timing and it did have a belt fitted about 6 months ago so maybe something has moved !!

I had the multi plug of cleaned and checked.
I have also taken the rocker cover of all wires intact. Next I will do a continuity test on all the wires to make sure they are complete.
Forgot to mention that in my first post.
If that shows nothing will have to be main stealer :(
It either has to be injectors or pump I'm thinking as anything electrical I would of thought should show on vagcom. But I would of thought if pump had gone there would be some debris somewhere. So not sure what way to turn and don't really want to have to put in dealers if I can help it.

The car was driving along and ignition lights came on and stopped and would not restart i have checked whats below so far.
The electronic stabilization light shows up when trying to start engine the engine turns over fine and does not even try...

That's a very expensive repair considering they have just had the engine apart should of seen most things. Also normally when an oil cooler goes down you end up with neat oil in the water system.
Get the car away from them chimps and get it to someone who is not going to slap your backside...
