OOOO need to know more, I was under the impression that I’d have to remove the bumper to get at the sensor. Mine is under there too. So are you saying that you can get to it without removing the headlight? I take it you go in from the top?
I was thinking it might be along the lines of wear in the vnt mechanism. As i would say the problem has been getting very slowly worse. Wonder how much a replacement turbo would be. Plus I’d need to be certain that that is what the problem actually is.
Still got this, and I’m wondering if the exhaust back box delete has had anything to do with it? The timings of when i did the exhaust and the problem starting could be around the same time. Differing back pressure perhaps, i get that diesel whistle now on overrun… so may be its a pressure...
I’m with you ….. there’s no way of getting to the wiring for the bulb holder without taking the inner trim off the boot. It’s one piece which includes both bulb recesses and the boot release part too, and is screwed on from the inside, 8mm nuts from memory. The wiring connects in to this part..
Wow, life’s busy! I’ve got a hundred and one things going on, the wife is using the car as a daily, so not exactly easy to get the time to take the bumper off and do some painting. What do you mean by ’he got the Se bumper…’
Got the honeycomb fog light surround’s delivered yesterday. Very impressed with them, great fit and finish. What more do you need! They look really good on. A bit like the red bit behind the main grill, i think I’ll paint the red area behind the fog grill, it’s usually hidden by the more...
I’ve done them already!!! And i took the orange lenses off, fiddly but doable. Theres orange bulbs in there atm giving it the orange look still as the first chrome ones i got were terrible, almost lemon colour, so had to go with orange bulbs for the time being.
Need to get an update on here…. Ive had the turbo off and cleaned the VNT mechanism and got it all back together fine. Bit of a job getting it off, but only because I couldn’t find a decent how to video, in english, on YouTube. Will be much easier next time if a need to. Went back on pretty...
Collected my set of s4 wheels yesterday from platinum powder coating based just outside aberdeen airport - Dyce. Very happy with the result and looking forward to getting the summer tyres on them and getting them on the old b7. Going to diy the centre caps that i have so hopefully they dont...
Looks brilliant! Wheels look great too! Just got a set off wheels back from refurb too, so looking forward to getting the summers on them. Need to sort my centre caps out first before any picks on the car. Haha. Your new caps are spot on also.
