@B5NUT - yes, it's my own Three SIM and has been working for over 3 years. I don't think this is about the SIM, as when it is removed, the screen *should* show 'SIM' in the lower-right.

LTE module been working perfectly on my 8V S3 (2014) for years. Then, all of a sudden, the 3G feature seems to have disappeared from the system. I don't even get the 'SIM' icon and the WiFi hot-spot has also gone away. Bluetooth and all other features seem fine - just no LTE connection, online...

Over the past few months I have noticed that the GPS is taking ages to lock on and it takes a good 5 to ten minutes for the Nav to stop showing me driving through fields. Has anyone else seen this issue? Any ideas on what to do? I have tried a reset of the system. Another thread has mentioned...

@DJAlix - I have read this before, but am keen to see what else can be done. I assume those instructions are for VAG-CAN, as the commands don't seem familiar. Anyone got a VAG-CAN I can borrow / rent? And RossTech have also not been able to help, although I have not tried their forums ...

Still no luck in getting to the elusive 'green screen'. VAG-COM / VCDS won't let me enable the right mode, as far as I can tell. Anyone know how to get to the green screen on the new 8V model? (Loads of details on how to do it on the older MMI, but not the one in the 8V.) Come on team - I need you!

It's excellent. Fast and much better than faffing about trying to locate an offline copy! Best to use Firefox browser, as Safari on my Mac seems to have issues.

I have the connect version, so I am afraid I don't know how to do this for the tech pack. Does it come with an SD card slot? Have you tried to use a POI file (as detailed earlier in the thread)?

@Forbzeeee - thanks. I have a newer version of VCDS which doesn't let you manually select a channel within adaptation, so I am a little stuffed. Will try and find an older version to download ...

Yes - I have seen that. It was also there in POI data files on my VW from a few years ago. Not tried to see if anything responds to it. The other issue is that once you edit the POI database, then the checksum for the file is invalid, so the MMI will refuse to import it. I have a way around...

Here's a bit of fun ... managed to get the CCTV at home to come up on the MMI. Not exactly sure of the use, but neat, all the same!

Just been looking and trying a few things. I created a page that asked for the date and also did some quick JavaScript tests. As you can see in the image, JavaScript is present and the browser seems quite capable. I tried to set a Cookie from the server so I could create a service for you folks...
