Is it necessary to get the alignment checked/reset after only a 25mm drop? Local Motorsport company has quoted £360 to supply and fit the springs including a full geometry check using Hunter equipment. About £80 of that is the geometry check.

Yeah, I should really just do the job myself. Reasonably handy with a spanner, fitted coilovers to my Clio trackcar no probs. A guide would of course help to see if there's anything specific/peculiar with the S3 set-up.

Thanks mate, so if I fit a Milltek exhaust, do I just block the rubber pipe with something?

I know a pic would be useful here but there seems to be some kind of valve thing attached to the back box of my S3 with a rubber pipe going somewhere. What's this for and if I plonk for a catback Milltek system, does it come with the same valve?

As per title, would I have any issues with this? Standard set-up is 7.5J 18 ET54 so with slightly wider wheel that's about an extra inch wider per corner. Would this be too much? Car is standard height but thinking about H&R -25mm springs as well.
