    ABS fault

Thanks. Does the top number have to match too? Do those brake lines just unscrew? I've found one on eBay for £50, does that seem about the going rate? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180678327047?redirect=mobile

    ABS fault

My symptoms are that the front brakes stick on and then I loose pressure in the pedal. Followed by yellow ABS light and 3 beeps every now and then. No red light or exclamation mark?! Are they easy to swap?

Bump! think I may need a new pump, check my other thread! some one on here said my symptoms are typical of needing a new pump. There's some on eBay and I'm investigating which model I need. Question is, is it just the pump I replace?

    Argh! Urgent help.

That does sound more like my problem. Seems to affect the front left more from what I can see..and feel. Red hot. Starting to fall out with this car now :(

    Argh! Urgent help.

Urgh. Sounds complicated. Would removing a fuse do the same thing? I'd rather have some braking than none at all whilst I figure out what to do... :(

To clarify. Is the abs pump and abs module the same thing? DIY job or a garage?

    Argh! Urgent help.

Posted a while back that my brakes seem to be sticking. To the extent that every now and then the front left will smoke it gets that hot. Garage checked and said they could find anything wrong. This morn the brake pedal hit the floor with no resistance at all. Hardly braking in fact. Yet the...

    Air Bag light

Quick update. Bought a £6.85 lead from eBay. Downloaded VCDS light from Ross Tech. Managed to turn my air bag light off with no dramas. Definitely DO NOT buy a £50 code reader, just get a cheap lead instead.

    Overheating when stationary (aircon/fan problem)

😃😃😃😃😄 Ok I'm getting somewhere now. The temp is going up as the fan (smaller one on the drivers side) IS stuck. When I hit it it spools and the temp drops. But it sticks a bit an sooner it later stops. I've WHALLOPPED it again an the fan has come on FULL force dropping temps...

    Overheating when stationary (aircon/fan problem)

I've had a golf where exactly that happened Aragon. So I don't think it's the pump. Mines the other way round, overheats when I'm stopped. Plus I can see the coolant circulating back into the header tank so it must be pumping? Right..? 49' trick shows all the way upto 115 then I bottle it and...

    Overheating when stationary (aircon/fan problem)

Should my main fan not speed up though when it's getting hot? Good advice so far tho, thanks all

    Overheating when stationary (aircon/fan problem)

Not sure. I can't figure it out. Checked the fuses under the dash and all seems ok. It's a 1.8 non turbo by way. Air con is deffo working its nice and cold. But no fan? And temperature is still rising whilst parked...? :( Aghg. ANOTHER garage trip

    Overheating when stationary (aircon/fan problem)

Yep. Last question. Where are the relays? They in the engine compartment under the windscreen?
