Thanks for the suggestions and help guys. Turned out it was just a coilpack, no3. Got one from work for £20...jobbed. Runs better than ever.
It's been suggested I should change all 4, do you guys think that's really worth doing?
I'm hoping that's all it is. I don't think it's turbo, as there's no smoke etc and the EML is on. Plus it's not just on boost, it's idling roughly too.
Used the TT (225 BAM 2004) for the first time in a couple of months today. Was running fine, then all of a sudden there was what sounded like a loud sharp pop (maybe from behind the dashboard), and no boost, then felt like it was misfiring. Haven't had chance to plug it into VagCom yet, and I'm...
Could be right actually, they look like SuperTourismos. Thanks for that :) .
I did think about RS4s, but they're really played out and, as much as they quite the car, they're not quite interesting enough for me. Never seena TT on RS6s, I might have a hunt now...
EDIT: The RS6 rims aren't sold...
I thought about LMs, but I had them on the A4, can't really go down that route again. And you're right about the 19"s, I think 18"s would look silly. I think I've seen a picture of a black one with gold/bronze LMs actually, and they did look mega.
The Rotiform idea had crossed my mind, however...
Yeah they really don't suit it. Looks kind of like some sort of beginner level Turkish mob boss thing.
Yeah I think I'm after a kind of fast-road look, if that makes sense. CHs or Pro Race 1.2s I think would look good. Budget could be an issue though :/
Hey guys. Thought I'd best introduce myself to this section, being a TT owner now (finally!). I've been over on the B6 section with my blue A4 for a while:
But I bought this:
1.8T 225 Quattro. Brought it last September time, and was royally ripped off! It's been off the road up until now...
Sorry to jump in. So, if I want to upgrade to 312s, I don't need to change the caliper? Just the carriers (and discs, obviously)?
I've got a 2004 1.9TDI 2wd
Took a couple pics of it yesterday, after making it beaucoup shiny.
Had all the little parking dents and dings taken out of it the other day. It's made a huge difference.
Thanks guys :) . The pics don't really do it justice, unfortunately. The boot looks a million times better without all the crap all over it. Remove your right hand side badges first, as I do kind of wish I'd left the A4 one on sometimes.
The car actually rides really really well. Obviously over...
Not sure TBH, I'll check the paint code in a minute.
Few more pics for your perusal. Bear in mind the front isn't sat right yet at all, and the pics do not do the stance of the back end justice either.
Thanks Turkster :) .
Sorted the stance on the back now, it's sat spot on! Just needs to sort the front out now. Need to get some narrower tyres so I can dial the ride height in correctly. Then it's exhaust time...
Quick question guys;
The last picture in the door blade section (silver B7), I assume that's an S4? As I'm after a rear diffuser like that, rather than with round holes. Would that fit a B6 Sport bumper? Sorry for the question!
