Tell tale signs of a clutch on its way out?

How'd you get on with this? I've got the same symptoms. Def not slipping and low bite point with crunch in review/first if you don't depress right to the floor.

    Strange brake light warning beeping

If anyone is interested this was driving me nuts, another symptom was when driving if I turned the lights on the accelerator signal completely dropped and sent the engine to idle until I reapplied the accelerator, very nasty on a motorway at speed. Anyway should have just did what so many other...

    Strange brake light warning beeping

The plot thickens :) 2 more things When I apply the brakes the front left parking light comes on. When I turn on the parking lights all three rear brake lights come on, applying the brakes makes them brighter. Removing the front left parking light makes no difference. So seems I have a short...

    Strange brake light warning beeping

Just to add a bit more to this. When the parking/headlights are on the brake lights come on! I pulled the fuse for the brake lights (13) and with parking/headlights on brake lights don't come on. I can't seem to find a good wiring diagram, but does anyone know if this means the issue is before...

Is this a bit pricey? (bushes and cambelt)

Cheers for the comments. I went OEM on the bushes because this is my commuting car and the roads around London are ****e. I want the A3 to waft me on a cloud to work :D He's is currently working from his house at the moment which is why the labour rate is so low, currently sorting a workshop...

Is this a bit pricey? (bushes and cambelt)

Hi All, Had the old clunking sounds all over the place so dropped the car off to get the bushes sorted with a local guy and was a bit shocked when I found out the cost, mainly the parts. A quick search and the lower front arms I'm seeing from £30-40 OEM! (the itemised price there is ex-vat) I...

EPC light, stalling and random oil pressure faults?

I'm noticing a similar thing, occasionally get loss of power at about 2000rpm when accelerating. The other night I noticed the idling at 1100rpm as well, would do it until the speed dropped to about 5mph. Don't get it cruising at all through. Will need to get something to check what the faults...

    Suspension bushes what to replace?

Superkarl or Jimgrim77 how'd you guys find fitting it, possible with just a jack? from previous experience with my VX220 the OEM rubber bushes you need to preload the suspension where as pollys are just fit and off you go. Also from the above it did firm things up a lot which great for track...
