Good afternood all
Ordered a Haldex controller off Ebay as mine is not working. Mechanic goes to fit it and tells me its different. Neither of us where aware of a difference in design. The difference is where it bolts on, the broken one off the car has a groove machined into the connecting...
I peeled the underseal back and found where the rust ends and good metal starts. Its not as bad as I feared, only into the tubular hollow of the sill so happy days! Will check every inch when shes up on the lift to be sure
Thanks Dave, I'll look into that.
123000, just had the cambelt replaced at Christmas. Other issues are the haldex isnt working at the moment, clunk on the front end on full lock I cannot pin down. Handbrake is a bit slack since the last ice. Master cylinder needs replacing too.
Goodmorning all
Yesterday discovered the dreaded crunch of rust underneath the car, passenger side behind the sill. Rust seems to have gotten in and eaten the steel underneath the rubberized factory coating. The contaminated area is less than a foot long and a few inches wide and can be felt...
Just an update. Swapped over the n75 with my friends to no effect. Same with the MAF sensor. Driving with the n75 unplugged is fine and no juddering at all. I'm leaving it unplugged until I have time for further investigate. Cheers for the advice folks
I think my best bet is to swap both the MAF and N75 with my mates S3, reset the ecu and see if it makes any difference. I will try and get it Vagcommed on Wedensday and hopefully find the issue
It drives fine when driven normally. No issues at all. However if l floor it? Once boost starts to peek the engine begins to juddering so I ease off.
Very annoying!
Cool, I will give that a shot, thanks Jojo. I unplugged the n75 and gave it a run and it was fine. However the boost is so limited it doesn't punch hard enough to cause the juddering :)
Good Evening folks
A few months back I swapped out my old and leaky Bailey DV for a new Forge 008. Not long after the car started to develop a shudder on boost.
I replaced the spark plugs with NGK BKR7s and the issue remained. The previous owner had replaced the coilpacks with Hitachi coils...
Good afternoon all

Good morning all
Busy sorting out the brakes and planning on ordering these for my S3 8L.

I have LCR front 4-pot Brembos and regular...
It all started when my steering rack (which had a lot of play) finally popped its seals.... fluid leaked out at freefall speed! Replaced the rack and the handling is smooth and fine. But the pump was then making some dodgy sounds, kind of a loud clicking but usually only when my foot was on the...
How's it going folks?
The power steering pump in my 2000 APY 1.8T S3 is in need of replacement.
I got one handy enough from my local breakers from an AWC engine code 1.8T, think that's a 150bhp engine. The pump housings are similar, someone told me the pump will work on my S3...
Will it be...
