So the rear end creaking was getting to me and as the shocks have done 180K (original) its sitting on the springs and not doing much damping.
Then the front end low speed clunk returned suggesting a lower control arm issue again funny as they are less than 25K old.

Set using the camshaft rotation and cam locking tools and think I found TDC with the TDC locking tool but dammed if I can find the TDC mark through the oil filler ..lots of other 'marks'...
