    Any musicians out there?

    I played air guitar for about 25 years before picking up the real thing a few years ago. Got a cheap starter kit for £120, added a Line 6 Pocket POD 6 months later, then 6 months later got a new axe (Ibanez RG370) and most recently got a Blackstar HT5-R valve amp and 1 x12 cab. Never gonna gig...

    F1 season 2014

    You can make that argument for quite a few closely fought championships over the past 15 years. We want to see the championship in the balance for as long as possible on merit (1994-2000 were all close, 2005-2010 likewise) not because the last race is worth double/triple/a million points...

    Ah!! Those Were The Days. Skint Knees, Jumpers for Goalposts !!!

    Given the nature of this forum I'm surprised no-one has mentioned Scalextric yet. My brother and I got a standard set for Xmas with F1 cars included but my prized possessions were this Martini Porsche 911 Turbo and this Triumph TR7 I used to race them against my brother for hours on a...

    Finally got a chance to give the motor some TLC

    With the weather being so damn nice recently I managed to sneak in a good 4 hours on the car while the missus was sunning herself in the garden and the kids were out playing. First up was the interior. Removed the mats and vacuumed out with the old Dyson DC08 (I got the car care accessories...

    private number plate

    I managed to pick up the reg I'd wanted for ages a few years back when the DVLA released the 'F' reg plates for sale. It has my initials and birthday (sort of) so very personal to me. I did get plates made with a double space between F** and my 3 initials which adds a subtle separation that I...

    Which DSLR to get for beginner?

    I was pretty much looking at new first time around to get me going. 95% of the stuff I shoot at the moment is portraits, landscapes and the kids playing. I do go to the airshow here every year (weather permitting) and my current camera is such a ballache to focus and track jets although I have...

    Hi Guys I'm looking to purchase a DSLR to replace my Olympus C70. I want something that has good preset functionality and full auto mode but can also do full manual. My budget is £400-£500 and I've been scouring Amazon, eBay, etc and I've narrowed it down to the following Canon EOS 1100D...

    A3 alarm - Good to know

    I think its all linked to the start-stop system and will be much more pronounced on a TDi. If you turn the key to the engine start position then release the engine won't start until its able, i.e. it does a coil warm up then fires up the engine. Depending on how long the engine has been sat...

    Audi A3 Black Edition Delivery Times 2011

    My Sportback BE took 5 months from order on 19th Sept '11 to pre-delivery inspection on 17th Feb '12. Told the dealer to hang onto it for 2 weeks and I took delivery on 3rd March '12 so it qualifies as a 12 plate.
