Well I don't think it is resolved, my S4 will be going back in to have the gearbox sorted very soon. The gear change is really notchy, and you have to be quite forceful with the gear change to make sure it goes in properly. So if you know something I don't, please share it !!!

I think you might find that's your engine oil!!!!! Had a similar substance all over the bottom of my new S4 the day after I picked it up. Turned out an oil seal had not been fitted correctly on the engine. Is you car using the VSI oil? Recommend you check the oil, and get the dealer out.

Its a 6 speed manual, haven't had any problems with the change either. I think the S4 cab will be a great car for the summer, just don't take the missus out in it with the top down when she has had her hair done..... I think it might be a mess after a 150mph blast !!!!

Great car, lovely sound, who needs a sound system when you have that awesome growl and rumble of power. Power wise, its in a different league to my old S3, that was quick, the S4 is quick x10!!! Still gently running it in, but have already shown a few Max Power boys that they shouldn't mess...

Got the nod from the dealership, my S4 is in, just got to do the PDI and get it registered and taxed, then it's all mine!!!!!! It's been a longtime coming, but finally the time has arrived.

Popped into my dealership today, and they have told me there is a problem (wouldn't elaborate or confirm anything about engine problems when I mentioned them), I was supposed to take delivery in September, he now says it could be October or even November, but nothing definate!!! **** ups and...

Does anyone know if this effects all models, nad is it any particular years that are failing. Thanks.
