Well... Today was judgement day whether I had bitten off more than I could chew turbo wise. Bill (as was I) was very sceptical about it fitting. Unfortunatly, at the current turbo flange angle of ther TSR Manifold made it impossible to fit :( But it was SO close. I wasn't giving up. So I took...
So Nipped down to TSR this morning and asked if I could be cheeky and borrow one of they're manifolds for a dry buildup to see what fitment issues I shall have, now, how many companies would let you walk out of there with a £1000rrp manifold with no payment atall?
Just aswell I'm quite friendly...
Thanks mate :)
Well started with a full interior this morning. By lunchtime I was left with this:
I then went to B+Q and bout 2 wall paper scrapers and a heat gun, and started removing the tar/sound deadening from the rear forwards. Then cracked on with grinding the seams ready for...
If you mean the Quaife? The diff was £660 including the bolts.
Now for some bad news :(
Bearing failure :(

Went at full chat, plenty of oil drained out the turbo, so this rules out a feed issue.
Engine came out today, ready for the 'big' build. "if at first you don't suceed, buy a...
Been having a little bit of a crisis recently with the car. Unsure whether to break it for parts, and buy something else, just settle as it is, carry on ploughing cash into it... Then had the thought of making it a road legal racer to compete with Bill in the Combe saloons championship. I think...

New RC8 Pads

And on another note, I'm going to semi...
Thanks fella, Yes it felt really good at combe, but there was too much traffic and too little traction to really press on. Joel seems to know what hes doing from my experience. Ive got a half decent idea of suspension setups from doing my apprenticeship in a motorsport based workshop, but it was...
So update. Unfortunalty, my camera died after about 4 pictures.
Basically, all was ok, until, it came to fitting the downpipe. the 2871r is longer in a dimension somewhere meaning the relentless manifold and downpipe fouled each other. so a bit of 'tolerancing' was required. a small dink in the...
I have ordered my new brake pads
RC8
Outrageous stopping power, these pads must only be used with other CL products as power is so high. These are for use in the most severe conditions such as GT racing, WRC Tarmac, World Touring Car, and NASCAR.
I think they'll do.
