Sorry, i read this and noticed the lack of info, silly boy. It's an A3, the amg wheels are 17's, 7 front, 7.5 back. And i knew they were 5*112. Tyres - has anyone fitted similar wheels? what have they used? The wheels are "amg style 2 17's" So a set of hub adapters and longer wheel nuts?

Can these fit without too much hastle? Anyone tried et35's?

Had a feeling, no eml showing. Short of diagniostics, is there any other way to get fault codes? I've done a 'paperclip' test on an older car..

Basically, the fuel pipe between the pump and fourth injector split, so i ran the car dry (1.9tdi). Got a lift from a mate, filled her with fuel again, cracked the 4 injectors and it lived. But ever since this, i've had no turbo, and man it's slow. Anyone got any heads up on what to check...

Checked the fuses with glow lamp, all fine. I'm getting my oil light come on when i try to crank also, could this be part of my problem? i can sadly see me buying a cheap diagnostics for this. The clear pipe for the fuel isn't getting ANY fuel dragged through it, to my understanding it's self...

Still having problems, if a sensor was faulty or unplugged would I get engine management light? Cause I don't.WEE update, checked plugs with a test Lamp, all seems fine. Would one split vac pipe cause all these probs?

a wee reply...it was a crankshaft seal, so the folk that said go to garage woulda cost easy £500+, and all it's cost from a bit of elbow grease and sadly doing the job a couple of times is the cost of parts.

It is audi sump, i used the 'correct' sealer first time i did the job, same problem. Oddly i did the job myself first time, 2nd time my friend who is a mechanic helped me. Bez - cheers nice one.

It may seem silly, but i can't see what difference there would be. Could i take a stainless steel system off a petrol, cat back, and stick it on a diesel?

I kept having problems with my handbrake also, either it'd stick and never come off, or it'd be fully on but the car would roll away from me. In the end i just bought new calipers and had no problems since, to my understanding the helper spring is a temp fix and often breaks also.
